Alexandra Riley

I was born in Dorking, Surrey and I've worked in several different roles, all office based..However a traffic accident and a decline in my health, made me realise that I had the opportunity to finally do something I truly enjoyed, and that was creativity. I started designing in textile, Norwegian based embroidery called Hardanger. I thoroughly enjoyed creating designs, which were sold in the States, and for 3 years, I had the rights from New Line Cinema, to create scenes from Lord of the RIngs. I was given "Drawing from Line to Life" by Mike Sibley, as a christmas present and was so inspired by the detail in his drawings that I decided I was going to adopt the same approach.
